Software Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of a product development team that thrives in a collaborative environment embracing agile methodologies. Your role as an individual contributor will involve participating in the entire product development lifecycle, contributing to the creation of high-quality software products. Collaborating closely with development engineers, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies and tools for efficient and comprehensive automated testing. Under the direct supervision of senior team members, your responsibilities will include assisting in testing application components, software tools, and utilities necessary for the smooth operation, maintenance, and control of computer systems. You will play a vital role in validating existing software to ensure alignment with business requirements and maintaining the necessary documentation for regular validation procedures. To qualify for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent field of study. In addition, you should have at least 3 years of experience in automation testing using C#, a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles, and proficiency in manual testing. Your expertise in API automation testing, framework building, integration testing, and UI testing will be crucial for success in this role. Your responsibilities as a Test Automation Engineer will include developing and automating functional tests for the product, contributing to test case identification, and creating necessary testing documentation. You will also be tasked with assessing current automation coverage, suggesting methods to enhance it, and updating automated tests in response to application changes. Additionally, you will work on extending existing automation frameworks, conducting manual and exploratory testing, and executing tests according to predefined schedules. Moreover, you will play a key role in translating manual test cases into automated tests, documenting encountered anomalies and bugs clearly and concisely, and maintaining the test tools infrastructure and development environments. You will be expected to produce relevant documentation and perform any other duties as assigned by your Manager. While not mandatory, familiarity with Azure DevOps, Selenium Webdriver, software build and delivery processes, continuous integration concepts, and agile software development will be advantageous for this role. Your ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve problems, along with your motivation for self-improvement and task initiative will be highly valued in this position.
