Job Description

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Software Integration and DevOps Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the build and release processes, ensuring smooth integration of software components and timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
  • Develop and implement strategies for software integration and delivery, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and product management, to align on project goals and deliverables.
  • Design, develop and implement the CI/CT/CD pipelines strategy based on project requirements.
  • Review code developed by the team for any automation/pipelines activities.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and selection of tools and technologies that support the integration and DevOps processes.

People Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage team resources effectively, balancing workload and priorities to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, setting clear goals and expectations that align with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to support team members' professional development.
  • Identify skills gaps and training needs and facilitate appropriate learning opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive team environment that encourages diversity of thought and promotes innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 13-15 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on integration, build, release, and DevOps processes.
  • Expertise in Git, branch strategies, variant handling.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/Bash/Batch) and automation tools like Jenkins/Bitbucket pipelines/Gitlab pipelines/AWS code pipelines
  • Proven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams in an automotive or related industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and software compliance requirements.
  • Good understanding of automotive SW development & testing tools.
