The System Administrator cum DevOps Manager will lead the design, implementation, and management of the organizations infrastructure and DevOps ecosystem across India and US operations. This role combines deep technical expertise in system administration, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps automation with strong leadership and operational management skills. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of systems and applications while driving automation, continuous integration, and deployment excellence. The position requires close collaboration with software development, QA, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient software delivery processes. Principal Job Responsibilities DevOps Management 1. Design, implement, and continuously optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, deployment, and testing processes. 2. Provide technical leadership for deployment planning, system integration, and infrastructure scalability. 3. Implement and manage automation frameworks and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.). 4. Establish proactive monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms to minimize downtime. 5. Lead incident management efforts including root cause analysis, preventive action, and reporting. 6. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning for production and staging environments. 7. Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release and change management processes. 8. Manage and optimize DevOps toolchains including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Rancher. System Administration (India & US Operations) 1. Oversee Linux and Windows server administration for both India and US-based infrastructure. 2. Manage system installations, configurations, security updates, and performance tuning. 3. Ensure 24x7 uptime and optimal performance of mission-critical systems. 4. Implement and monitor backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. 5. Handle user management, access control, Active Directory, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewall administration. 6. Coordinate with global IT teams to maintain synchronized operations and infrastructure standards. 7. Perform capacity planning, load balancing, and infrastructure scaling for growing business needs. 8. Continuously assess systems for vulnerabilities and implement robust security controls. Leadership & Strategic Management 1. Provide visibility into operational KPIs, incident management, and SLA adherence to senior leadership. 2. Mentor, guide, and develop DevOps and System Administration teams, ensuring continuous skill enhancement. 3. Develop and streamline infrastructure and release management processes for efficiency and reliability. 4. Lead cross-functional initiatives to align IT infrastructure and DevOps practices with business objectives. 5. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication across multiple stakeholders and time zones. Skills & Abilities Technical Expertise 1. Deep experience in DevOps toolchains: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Rancher. 2. Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk. 3. Strong background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration. 4. Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and process optimization. 5. Expertise in version control systems (Git, SVN, Mercurial) and build tools (Maven, Ant, Gradle). 6. Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise server management. 7. Comprehensive knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and cybersecurity best practices. Soft Skills 1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2. 10–15 years of combined experience in System Administration and DevOps leadership roles. 3. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Docker/Kubernetes Certified preferred.
