Software Engineering

As a Lead Software Engineer at the Trivandrum location, your role will involve creatively developing scalable backend applications using optimal technical solutions, design patterns, and proven components. You will lead the team through application design, coding, testing, documentation, and deployment while ensuring adherence to engineering standards and project timelines. Additionally, you will mentor developers, manage the defect lifecycle, contribute to architecture and design, and act as a key interface with customers and stakeholders. - Interpreting and implementing application designs - Coding, debugging, testing, and documenting development progress effectively - Validating solutions with users and optimizing development efficiency - Monitoring FAST goals for yourself and the team - Reviewing code and documentation for compliance - Enforcing configuration management plans - Guiding unit testing efforts - Advising on design and feature implementation - Managing module delivery and defect resolution Your required skills and experience should include: - Strong expertise in Java backend development - Minimum of 3+ years experience with Kotlin and frameworks like Ktor, Spring Boot, or Micronaut - Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices in cloud environments (preferably AWS) - Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB - Familiarity with GraphQL and WebSockets - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes - Exposure to TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, React for frontend development, Gradle, GitLab CI, and monitoring tools like OpenTelemetry You must have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Java, microservices, AWS, and at least 3 years of experience with Kotlin. Backend experience with Kotlin frameworks (Ktor, Spring Boot, Micronaut), and exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, GraphQL, and WebSockets are essential. Immediate joiners or a notice period of up to 30 days only with no relocation benefits. The interview process will consist of 1 screening call and 2 technical rounds.
