Software Engineer-Tableau

1. JOB RESPONSIBILITY

2. • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads to requirements gathering meetings.

3. • Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.

4. • Provides technical advice and weighs in on technical decisions that impact cross functional teams.

5. • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.

6. • Expertise in ETL using SSIS and SQL Server/ Oracle Database

7. • Good hands on with the SSRS and Tableau report creation

8. • Understand the overall dashboard creation on tableau and migrate all the reports from SSRS to tableue.

9. • Experience in SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Performance tunings

10. • Involved in the development & Maintenance of various DW projects

11. • Good experience in big data tools & technology (i.e. Azure, etc.)

12. • Well-versed in all phases of the Agile project life cycle along with Jira & Confluence

13. • Working experience in the insurance domain is plus

14. • Working experience with EDW systems integration

15. • Well-versed with the data warehouse and data lake concepts

16. • Well-versed with the DW hybrid architecture

17. • Proficiency in ETL/DataMart development using SSIS

18. • May own technical testing to ensure unit testing is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed, and system is implemented according to plan.

19. • Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of the system.

20. • Maintains technical development environment.

21. • Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.

22. • Will begin to set direction at the project/service level and influences decision-making.

23. • Provides technical guidance, and mentoring. Understands the tradeoffs between technical, analytical, and product needs of the technical solutions.

24. • Identifies and proposes strategies around technical problems affecting teams, communicates standards and get buy-in on solutions.

25. • Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements, clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.

27. • B. Tech /B.E. /MCA

28. EXPERIENCE

29. • Minimum of6+ years related experience; multi-dimensional platform experience; expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. SQL database and/or multi languages are strongly preferred. Experience mentoring others, leading multiple small projects and providing troubleshooting support is preferred.

32. • Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.

33. • Strong understanding of data visualization is the best practices and design principles.

34. • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

35. • Experience with data modeling, data blending, and performance optimization within Tableau.

36. • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to derive insights from data.

37. • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey findings.

38. • Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) packages using SSIS.

39. • Strong SQL skills, including T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.

40. • Knowledge of error handling, logging, and package deployment strategies in SSIS.

41. • Experience with report parameters, expressions, and formatting.

42. • Knowledge of report deployment, subscription management, and security in SSRS.
