Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support our cloud migration initiatives, transitioning workloads from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network architecture, cloud networking, and security, with a strong understanding of Azure networking services and hybrid connectivity models. This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure for healthcare applications and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement network architectures to support cloud migration projects, including hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure.
• Configure and manage Azure networking services, including:
• Virtual Networks (VNets)
• Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Azure Firewall
• VPN Gateway / ExpressRoute
• Azure Load Balancer / Application Gateway
• Collaborate with cloud architects and security engineers to ensure secure and compliant network designs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize network performance across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implement network segmentation, traffic filtering, and monitoring to protect sensitive healthcare data.
• Support integration with Azure Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel for network threat detection and response.
• Document network configurations, migration plans, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and internal security policies.
• Stay current with Azure networking innovations and best practices.

QUALIFICATION

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Azure Virtual Networking
• VPN Gateway / ExpressRoute
• Azure Firewall / NSGs / UDRs
• Azure Load Balancer / Application Gateway / WAF
• DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management
• Familiarity with cloud security tools such as:
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-prem to cloud migrations.
• Understanding of network protocols, routing, and firewall policies.
• Experience in securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

EXPERIENCE

• 4-8+ years of exp in Azure Security Services, relevant can be 2 years

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies, such as Azure Migrate, ASR (Azure Site Recovery), or CloudEndure.
• Familiarity with network discovery, assessment, and planning for cloud migration projects.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud connectivity strategies, including ExpressRoute, VPN, and SD-WAN.
• Understanding of network dependencies in application migration, including DNS, latency, and bandwidth considerations.
• Experience in re-platforming or re-architecting network infrastructure for cloud-native environments.
• Knowledge of cloud migration security best practices, including secure transit, data protection, and network hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates for automating network deployments.
• Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones and Cloud Adoption Framework for enterprise-scale migrations.
