Role Description This is a contract remote role for a Software Engineer (PHP, Laravel, MySQL). The Software Engineer will be responsible for back-end web development tasks, including designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code. The role involves building new applications, enhancing existing web applications, and ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of these applications. The successful candidate will collaborate with different teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Troubleshooting and resolving application issues as well as optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability will be key parts of this role. Qualifications A background in Computer Science and Back-End Web Development Proficiency in Software Development, Programming, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Experience with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and remotely Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is advantageous Show more Show less
