Software Engineer

About the Job

• We are looking for a highly driven and skilled Software Engineer to join our team.
• This role is a hands-on development role working closely with BA, DevOps and other developers based in Hong Kong and India to build/enhance products, solutions, GUI, automation of testing, building reports etc.
• If you have a passion for working with complex trading systems and possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and technical knowledge, this job is perfect for you.
• The ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and follow through on tasks with a strong sense of ownership is essential for this role.
• You should be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic who can excel in an agile, fast-paced, and remote working environment.

What will you do?

• Learn to utilize various technologies and tools to implement solutions.
• Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time.
• Analysing and resolving technical and application problems.
• Redesign and reengineer applications to scale and performance.
• Stay up to date on the latest technologies and trends.

What will you require?

• B.E/B.Tech in a Computer Science/Engineering
• Good design sense, including knowledge of effective design approaches.
• Programming proficiency in C# and deep understating of .NET environments and class libraries
• Programming proficiency in Python or OOP and scripting experience with Pandas/NumPy
• Strong GUI (using WPF or Angular or React) design and development skills. Experience with Blazor is a plus.
• Strong database (MS SQL or PostgreSQL or MongoDB etc) development skills
• Excellent problem-solving & communication skills.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with Docker and test automation
• Experience with Radis, Kafka, ELK stack or equivalent is desirable.
• Basic understanding of Cloud Computing, DevOps principles and practices
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows & Linux/Unix operating systems.
• FIX protocol/OMS/ Algorithms/Markets knowledge is a plus.
