Software Engineer-JAVA FSD

As a Java+React Software Engineer at Socit Gnrale, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality applications, enterprise-grade usable User Interfaces (UI's), and high-quality API's. Your key responsibilities will include: - Participating in the development and implementation of high-quality applications and APIs - Collecting requirements from end users and Product Owners - Implementing, testing, and delivering functionalities according to standards and CI process - Providing support for day-to-day operations and processes - Contributing to decision-making and process improvements - Supporting team continuous improvement through communication, documentation, and automation As a qualified candidate, you must have the following skills: - Proficiency in Java 8 or above - Experience with the React framework - Expertise in ReactJS, preferably with TypeScript and hands-on experience with Jest framework - Implementing solutions using Java 11 with a focus on API development and performance - Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot and microservices - Familiarity with TDD & BDD Practices - Awareness of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging - Strong understanding of OOP concepts - Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks - Knowledge/experience with PostgreSQL database and REST APIs - Working experience with containers like Kubernetes/Docker - Proficiency in Git/GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins for CI/CD - Strong object-oriented programming skills - Hands-on experience in Agile best practices, TDD, BDD, refactoring, and clean code - Clear understanding of the Software Development life cycle - Background in preparation and performing manual testing - Ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria & test cases - Excellent communication skills - Strong understanding of Agile practices, roles, and methodologies - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work under agile teams with a focus on understanding and contributing to team priorities Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have: - Exposure to the Investment banking domain - Experience/knowledge of Dashboards/charts - Exposure to implementing security in web applications - Exposure to Openshift/AWS - Basic understanding and exposure to Business Intelligence tech stack (e.g., MSBI/Tableau/Power BI) If you decide to join Socit Gnrale, you will be part of a team that believes in creating, daring, innovating, and taking action to shape the world of tomorrow.
