Software Engineer - Java Developer

As a Full-Time Java Developer at our Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh location, you will be responsible for conducting various application development tasks using Java and Spring Boot on GCP. Your primary duties will include performing unit testing, deploying code to different environments, and ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of high-scale applications from the backend to the UI layer. Emphasizing operational excellence, security, and scalability, you will tackle problems of medium complexity and apply modern software development practices such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. Additionally, you will be expected to triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing their sources and impacts on network or service operations and quality. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate our systems with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset will also be a part of your role. Furthermore, documenting code and processes for seamless developer onboarding, active participation in project planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies are essential aspects of this position. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience. Additionally, you must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, as well as 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies like GCP, AWS, or Azure. Proficiency in source code management systems (e.g., SVN/Git, Github), CICD, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code is also required, along with familiarity with software build management tools like Maven or Gradle. Moreover, your candidacy could stand out if you are a self-starter capable of adapting to priority shifts with minimal supervision, stay updated on the latest technologies and trends, and demonstrate a continuous willingness to learn and grow. Experience in UI development (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap), agile environments (e.g., Scrum, XP), relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL), and Atlassian tooling (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github), as well as developing with modern JDK (v1.7+), would be advantageous in fulfilling the requirements of this role. Cloud certification is strongly preferred for this position.,
