This position is for the Sam s Data Engineering (DEG) Team. At Walmart in Bangalore, you will work with small teams of talented engineers to build robust, distributed and scalable applications. Be given the freedom to try new things and prove the value of your own ideas and innovations and own them all the way to production. Foster a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure business needs are being met using software engineering best practices. Participate in internal Hackathons and innovation challenges! What you'll Do: Develop interactive, user-friendly product using the latest frameworks which are open source and proprietary. Contribute to design and code review tasks. Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide. Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products. What you'll Bring: Mandatory Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field 3 to 7 years of total experience in developing Enterprise scale applications Strong hands-on coding experience in Spark, Python/Scala Strong computer science fundamentals: Data Structures, Algorithms, Design Patterns Strong experience in Building Data Pipelines, Data Migration, Streaming Pipelines Expertise in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets Experience to develop, implement and tune distributed data processing pipelines that process large volume of data Must be able to work effectively in a team setting as we'll as individually. Ability to communicate and collaborate with external teams and stakeholders. Must have growth mindset to learn and contribute across different modules or services. Desirable Working experience in GCP/Azure/AWS cloud platforms Big data development experience for large enterprise Architecture and Design understanding for building enterprise scale product with focus on scalability, low-latency, and fault-tolerance Working experience with data ware house like Big Query, AWS Redshift Delivering high quality data solutions that are testable and adhere to SLAs Working knowledge of job scheduling tools like Airflow etc Knowledge of Open Source Tools - Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic Search, Kibana, AI/ML exposure Benefits Beyond our great compensation package, you can receive incentive awards for your performance. Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 2years experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company. Option 2: 4 years experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company. Preferred Qualifications... Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP, masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area Primary Location...
