Software Engineer III - Java, AWS

You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives. You will develop and troubleshoot software solutions with innovative approaches to solve technical problems. Your role will involve creating secure, high-quality production code and maintaining algorithms that integrate seamlessly with systems. Additionally, you will produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met. Identifying hidden problems and patterns to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture will be part of your responsibilities. You will also contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new and emerging technologies. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills for this position include formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience. Proficiency in Java programming and coding is essential. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages is required. A comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security, and demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile) are also necessary. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot, Microservices. Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS (EC2, EKS, S3), strong experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB) and relational databases, experience with Kubernetes, and familiarity with Kafka. A good understanding of the financial and banking industry will be advantageous in this role.,
