Position Summary...

What youll do...

About the team
Content quality is a dedicated group within Walmart and is
responsible for evaluating and ensuring the overall quality of all
item content, including coverage, conformity and accuracy and
adherence to guidelines, essentially acting as a quality control
check for all item data across various platforms

What You ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Implement unit and integration tests.
Troubleshoot and debug application issues.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Java and Spring Boot technologies and best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Work with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Work with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Work within an agile/scrum development environment.

What You ll bring

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong focus on Spring Boot
Solid understanding of Java core concepts and object- oriented programming (OOP) principles.
Experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good understanding of software development best practices.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Experience with microservices architecture
