We are seeking a talented Software Engineer I with a strong background in Java development. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 2+ years of experience who are passionate about writing clean, efficient, and scalable code. As a Software Engineer I at Tekion, you will be working on impactful products that help transform the automotive industry. Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services. Write we'll-tested, maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and implement solutions. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across multiple systems. Participate in code reviews to ensure the best practices are being followe'd. Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and best practices. Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and product enhancements. Required Skills and Qualifications : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java. Strong proficiency in Java programming, including experience with frameworks Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) and ORM frameworks. Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with version control systems like Git. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills : Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with testing frameworks (unit testing, integration testing). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
