Software & Documentation Quality Lead

Role & responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and maintain the Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP) in accordance with EN 50657:2017 through the project lifecycle.
• Perform independent software quality reviews, for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 and above, ensuring:
• Reviews of requirements, architecture, design, test plans, and verification evidence are conducted independently of the development team.
• Non-conformities, gaps, or risks are documented and reported.
• Audit evidence and quality review records are maintained as per ISA requirements
• Ensure complete traceability between requirements, software artifacts, test cases, and verification results using ReqSuite, DOORS etc.
• Coordinate and validate:
• Static and dynamic code analysis.
• Unit, integration, and system-level testing
• Regression and boundary testing
• Defect tracking, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions (CAPA)
• Support software toolchain validation and documentation of development environment integrity.

Engineering Documentation Governance:

• Lead the development and enforcement of a unified Engineering Documentation Framework
• Govern engineering document control across data management systems.
• Monitor and enforce engineering documentation completeness for project baselines, FAI submissions, and change records.

Audit & Compliance Support

• Prepare documentation and quality records for ISA audits, customer assessments, and internal maturity gates.
• x ack audit observations and ensure timely closure of non-conformities with complete documentation evidence and revision logs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software quality assurance and engineering documentation roles.
• Background in safety-critical or regulated industries such as rail, aerospace, automotive, or defence.

Tools & Technical Competence:

• Requirements/Test: ReqSuite, DOORS.
• Version Control: Git, SVN, or PDM/PLM tools (Vault, Windchill)
• Strong understanding of engineering deliverables such as requirement specs, CR logs, validation reports, Software Confg file, BOM etc.

Certifications (Preferred):

• IRIS / ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation or Advanced
