Software Development Test Engineer

Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, CI/CD, and quality assurance

practices, along with the ability to collaborate across global teams. This role requires hands-on

experience with test frameworks, tools, and methodologies, as well as a passion for delivering

high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test cases, capturing results with clarity.
• Raise well-documented defects with sufficient detail for quick resolution.
• Provide stakeholders with clear insights into tested features and results.
• Monitor and resolve CI/CD issues to maintain smooth build pipelines.
• Develop and enhance automation frameworks, ensuring maximum coverage of

regression and feature tests.

• Manage software releases and ensure the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across geographies (USA & India).
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of defects and propose process improvements.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and practices to improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong proficiency in Selenium with Java/JavaScript for Web UI testing, Cucumber,

RestAssured, Postman.

• Experience in Jenkins, BDD/TDD methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitLab, microservices, and Agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience in debugging within microservices-based environments.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
• Preferred (nice to have):
• Experience with Python or Shell scripting.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing tools.
