Software Development Engineer - Test - Mobile App Testing

As a Quality Analyst at BlackLight Games, you will be responsible for testing and releasing high-quality mobile gaming applications on Android and iOS platforms. Your role will involve creating and executing test strategies to ensure a delightful gaming experience for millions of players. Key Responsibilities: - Minimum of 2 years of mobile apps/games testing experience - Prior experience testing live games with massive downloads - Highly technical with a passion for creating delightful gaming experiences - Ability to find the root cause of issues - Solid understanding of Android and iOS platforms - Creation of relevant and structured test cases, checklists, and test plans - Logging actionable, reproducible, detailed bug reports clearly - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Great attention to details - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks - Exemplary work ethic - Ability to create and enforce processes Qualifications Required: - B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc or relevant professional experience, preferably in Computer Science In this role, you will closely collaborate with Game Engineers and Product Managers to understand changes, create and execute test plans and test cases, and be the overall owner of testing and releasing features in the game. You will work side-by-side with development and product teams to ensure the game meets planned milestones. Your responsibilities will also include creating test cases from design documentation, testing functionality and usability throughout various development phases, and timely communication of issues, risks, and testing status. You will be expected to detect, research, and report potential and verified issues with relevant details in an actionable way, keeping users at the center. Additionally, you will verify that fixes are implemented correctly throughout the product cycle in both consumer and development environments, manipulate automated scripts for regression testing, and influence the prioritization of issues in the bug database to expedite bug-fixing efforts.
