We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer (SDE 2) with expertise in PHP frameworks, frontend development, and database management. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in software development, particularly in creating and maintaining web applications. This role is based in Goa and offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic work environment.

Details:

Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend modules and intuitive frontend components, ensuring performance, quality, anddelivery of business-critical retail applications.

Collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to implement product roadmap, automate testing, and ensure reliability of high-performing applications.

Own modules end-to-end, conduct peer code reviews, enhance system scalability, and participate in agile processes including sprints, standups, and retrospectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Create and optimize database schemas and queries using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality features on time.
• Write unit tests and maintain documentation for code and processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of professional experience in software development, specifically with PHP frameworks.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
