Software Development Engineer

Job Description

As a media streaming engineer, you will be responsible for developing features, contributing to media systems design, analysing performance, and tuning algorithms for streaming media playback. You will be involved in client-side development for MediaFirst streaming product. You will work closely with strategic partners and app developers to help in the development and debugging of our streaming technologies on our platforms. Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using OOP principles. Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participate in code reviews and follow coding best practices and standards. Debug and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner. Assist in the creation of technical documentation and user manuals. Stay updated with emerging trends in software development and continuously improve skills. Required Skills and Qualifications Qualification: BS or MS in CS/CE or equivalent, with 1 to 5 years of experience. Must have skills: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts. Proficiency in at least one OOP language such as Java, C++, C#, Swift, Kotlin. Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
