Software Development Engineer III

As a Software Development Engineer III at Airtel, you will play a crucial role in guiding the team's development efforts towards successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship while maintaining high standards of software quality within the team. By establishing good practices and habits, you will identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Your day-to-day tasks will involve designing, developing, and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards. Additionally, you will participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code, adhering to high-quality development principles to deliver solutions on-time and on-budget. Providing third-level support to business users, you will research and evaluate a variety of software products and contribute to technical design, implementation, deployment, and support. Collaboration with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements will be a key aspect of your role. You will also mentor and oversee the development of resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews to ensure compliance with specifications. Developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance will be part of your focus. To excel in this role, you should be proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or Ruby. Knowledge of No-SQL Database technologies, caching data stores, queuing systems, and search technologies will be beneficial. Experience with version control tools like SVN or Git, along with proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis, is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, familiarity with design patterns, and the ability to architect solutions for large-scale applications are also required. As a qualified candidate, you should have a technical background with a BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience.
