As a Software Development Engineer III at Airtel, you will play a crucial role in guiding the team's development efforts towards successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship while maintaining high standards of software quality within the team. By establishing good practices and habits, you will identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Your day-to-day tasks will involve designing, developing, and unit testing applications in accordance with established standards. Additionally, you will participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code, adhering to high-quality development principles to deliver solutions on-time and on-budget. Providing third-level support to business users, you will research and evaluate a variety of software products and contribute to technical design, implementation, deployment, and support. Collaboration with Business Analysts to review and implement business requirements will be a key aspect of your role. You will also mentor and oversee the development of resources, including reviewing designs and performing code reviews to ensure compliance with specifications. Developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance will be part of your focus. To excel in this role, you should be proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or Ruby. Knowledge of No-SQL Database technologies, caching data stores, queuing systems, and search technologies will be beneficial. Experience with version control tools like SVN or Git, along with proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis, is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, familiarity with design patterns, and the ability to architect solutions for large-scale applications are also required. As a qualified candidate, you should have a technical background with a BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience. As we do that, we need to add many new features to Marketplace platform to cater to a wide variety of partner and customer requirements. #joinOCI Career Level - IC3 Job Responsibilities: As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will help lead our development efforts as we build the technology platform that will act as the central marketplace for our cloud's software offerings. You will be a core contributor on a team of software engineers working to grow and scale our service. The Marketplace team will be responsible for building the services where our customers will go to purchase pre-configured software installations on the platform of their choice. The challenges here are across the entire stack, from back-end distributed services operating at cloud scale, to e-commerce transactions, to the actual web apps that users interact with. This is the perfect role for someone experienced in writing code across an entire stack, especially in a start-up style environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant work experience. 4+ years of software development experience. Proficient in Java and/or GoLang, Python, algorithm design, object oriented design, problem solving, and complexity analysis. Proficient in Javascript, Web UIs, REST APIs, HTTP. Experience with designing, coding, debugging, launching and maintaining distributed systems at scale. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building distributed cloud services. Experience with virtualization and orchestration stacks. Experience in designing and building easy to use web UIs.
