The Opportunity: Software Development Engineer At IES, were building the future of retail, and were looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join our innovative team. As an SDE, youll be instrumental in revolutionizing how customers make purchase decisions across our retail platform by developing next-generation shopping experiences powered by artificial intelligence and adaptive technologies. In this role, youll design and implement intelligent systems that deliver personalized shopping experiences, working with cutting-edge generative AI and ML models to create innovative visual experiences. Youll develop sophisticated algorithms for adaptive layout optimization, product visualization features, theme-based recommendation systems, and customer behavior analysis. Your work will span multiple customer touchpoints, requiring you to write high-quality, scalable code while collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists to drive technical solutions. Were seeking someone with strong programming skills and software design expertise, particularly in distributed systems and scalable architectures. Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their practical applications is essential, as is the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. Youll participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of customer experience metrics while debugging complex production issues and optimizing system performance. Youll be part of a team that values technical excellence and innovation, with the chance to shape the future of e-commerce through technological advancement. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
