SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Requirements and Qualification: Algorithmic thinking and problem solving orientation
2 to 3 years of hands-on programming experience, in a language such as C/C or equivalentKnowledge/experience with Python and Scripting languages (Perl, etc) would be an advantageExperience in using various types of IDE's such as EclipseKnowledge of version control systems such SVN, GIT etcGood user level operating knowledge of UNIX or LINUX Operating SystemStrong desire to learn new technologies/skills and apply learning to the problem at handFlexibility to shift priorities quickly in a fast-paced work environmentTeam player who enjoys working on cross-functional teamsBachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related disciplineLocation: Whitefield (EPIP area), Bengaluru - Cellworks Research India Pvt. Ltd.Responsibilities: Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programsTesting and evaluating new programs. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modificationsMaintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habitsParticipate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related codeOversee the technologies, tools and techniques used within the teamWork closely with the business and Engineers on issues related to design and requirementsResponsible to adherence to development standards, policies and proceduresDrive change to implement efficient and effective strategies as advised by managementWork closely with other team leaders and Science teams when necessary to create software that is cohesiveEnsure that projects are accurately estimated and delivered to scheduleShow flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the businessActively contribute to the process of continual improvement, with regard to self, team and systems
