Project Role : Software Development Engineer Project Role Description : Analyze, design, code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Must have skills : OutSystems Good to have skills : NAMinimum 12 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic work environment where you will analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code for multiple clients. Your day will involve collaborating with team members to perform maintenance and enhancements, ensuring that the applications meet client needs and expectations. You will also be responsible for developing new features and functionalities, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and debugging processes. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance your contributions effectively. Roles & Responsibilities:- Define and drive technical strategy for OutSystems projects, ensuring scalable, secure and maintainable architecture.- Lead cross-functional development teams, providing technical direction and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic goals and translate complex requirements into robust applications.- Ensure high code quality, performance and compliance with OutSystems and enterprise development standards.- Guide application modernization, including migration to OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) and integration with legacy or third-party systems.- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments and troubleshoot complex application issues.- Foster technical excellence and innovation by mentoring developers, encouraging best practices and driving continuous improvement.- Ensure thorough technical documentation, including solution architecture, integration plans and deployment guides.- Manage resource planning, effort estimation and coordinate closely with project managers for timely delivery.- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, to support development and future maintenance efforts.- Oversee OutSystems installations (on-premises and cloud), environment management, and deployment processes. Professional & Technical Skills: - Expertise in OutSystems architecture concepts, design and implementation.- Strong technical competency in OutSystems platform architecture and general solution design principles.- Capable of contributing effectively as both an individual contributor and a collaborative team player/leader.- Hands-on experience with both OutSystems 11 and OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC)- Proficient in designing, building, and configuring OutSystems applications to align with complex business and technical requirements.- Proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code using OutSystems, APIs and scripting languages- Proficient in designing & building applications and services in OutSystems for web and/or mobile apps- The candidate must have over 11+ years of total industry experience, with 5+ years dedicated to OutSystems development. 5+ years in an architect role.- OutSystems certifications:Associate Reactive/Web Developer, Tech Lead, Architecture Specialist. with hands-on experience delivering 34 full-cycle OutSystems projects.- Strong command of OutSystems Reactive, Traditional Web and architectural best practices- Proficient in designing & building applications and services in OutSystems for web and/or mobile apps.- Proficient in building BPT (Business Process Technology) flows within OutSystems applications.- Expertise in data modeling and working with relational databases.- Having strong knowledge and experience in using Architecture Canvas, Service Studio, Integration Studio, Lifetime, Forge Components, Monitoring Tools etc.- Proficient in designing and integrating with REST and SOAP APIs. Strong command over custom component development, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP/OAuth)- Solid understanding of full-stack development and layered architecture. Capable of enhancing existing OutSystems applications by handling change requests, performing in-depth investigations and implementing effective solutions.- Strong front-end development skills using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.- Good understanding of architectural patterns, software design principles and scalable system design.- Proven expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and database design- Good understanding of OutSystems ODC- Solid experience in application security, governance, and multi-environment deployments- Knowledge of OutSystems installation and configuration in both on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on performance optimization.- Certified in OutSystems Cloud Deployment (OCD), demonstrating proficiency in cloud-based deployment strategies.- Experience with application migration from OutSystems 11 to OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC).- Strong capability in application troubleshooting, including diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.- Experience with other low-code platforms (e.g., Mendix, Power Apps, Appian, others).- Knowledge of Azure/AWS services, containerization (Docker), or microservices architecture.- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles.- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and API Gateways.
