Role Overview

SDE-II at OYO

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance services and applications.
• Own end-to-end development of features-from requirements to production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps, Data) to deliver robust solutions.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high engineering standards.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall engineering culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer in a product-based or tech-driven company.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular) is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source or relevant technical communities.
