Software Developer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading IT development projects supporting Con Edison's Electric Operations Energy Services organization. This will include managing development groups and mentoring junior team members. Additionally, you will be in charge of project planning, cost estimation, and budgeting. You will work closely with software vendor agents to support existing production systems and ensure licensing compliance. Collaboration with business representatives to understand functional requirements for software and reporting solutions will be essential while aligning with IT corporate strategy. You will also collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements for various systems. Key Responsibilities: - Lead IT development projects for Con Edison's Electric Operations Energy Services organization - Manage development groups consisting of company employees, independent contractors, consultants, and System Integrator employees - Mentor and develop junior team members - Lead all aspects of project planning, including cost estimation and budgeting - Work with software vendor agents to support production systems and manage licensing compliance - Collaborate with business representatives to understand functional requirements for software and reporting solutions - Work closely with internal teams such as Technical Architecture, BizTalk, Work Management, Systems Assurance, and Database Administration teams to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements - Collaborate with software vendor representatives, including the Pega Global Customer Support team, to diagnose and resolve software issues Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - Proven experience in leading IT development projects - Strong understanding of project planning, cost estimation, and budgeting - Experience working with software vendors and managing licensing compliance - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with business representatives and internal teams - Ability to mentor and develop junior team members - Familiarity with troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements for various systems,
