Responsibilities

As a Principal Engineer (IC4) within the Enterprise Management Services team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the technology platform underpinning Oracles enterprise cloud services. This team is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging cloud platform services .You'll contribute to building distributed systems, integrating DevOps solutions, and scaling platforms for both internal and external customers worldwide.

This role requires the ideal candidate to be a subject matter expert in at least one business-critical technology, taking ownership of building complex products and driving improvements in engineering practices. They mentor talent across the organization and regularly engage in cross-team architecture and security community forums such as CAPA reviews, ECARs, CSSAP. They communicate effectively, offer guidance, establish standards, and often present product directions to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
• 8-10+ years of full stack software development, design, implementation and operation of distributed services
• Experience driving architecture & functional reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process.
• Hands-on experience building and operating entire systems and services.
• Strong product development experience in Java/J2EE
• Expert in REST API design and designing multi-tenant systems
• Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
• Experience providing technical leadership. Ability to implement or lead multiple key-projects in parallel.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in DevOps and Security Tooling
• Experience with virtualization and orchestration stacks
• Experience with building and deploying software services with cloud infrastructure providers is a plus
• Experience with emerging LLM frameworks and plugins, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores and Retrievers, LLM Cache, LLMOps (MLFlow), LMQL, Guidance, etc.
