Software Developer 3

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products. Excellent team player member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 to 8 years of software engineering or related experience. The candidate should have: 2 to 8 years of work experience in enterprise software product development Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer Science is preferred) Very strong experience in object oriented software development Skill set: Expertise in development using Object Oriented Patterns Experience in implementing enterprise design Patterns Experience with Java programing Experience with version control systems such as Git. Understanding of Data Stores (SQL/NoSql, etc) Restful API/GraphQL Experience in Agile Development Methods such as scrum Experience in Rational Clearcase Exposure to product release cycles, from concept to delivery Exposure to Cloud technologies, Generative AI Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes, Micro services, CI/CD concepts and tools Strong Communication and problem solving skills. Strong people skills in working in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment Analyzes and solves complex problems and suggests new and/or significantly re-engineered processes across projects using innovative approaches. Analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of known and unknown factors. Exercises judgment based on an understanding of division direction and priorities. Balances organizational or subject matter priorities for a project. Participates in setting group objectives by recommending project ideas to management. Initiates, develops and implements plans for complex projects with little to no supervision.
