Job Description

As a Software Deployment & Configuration Engineer in the Robotics department, your role will involve taking ownership of deploying software on robotic systems across the production line. Your attention to detail and proactive approach are crucial in ensuring that each robot runs the correct software version with optimized configurations for peak performance. You will collaborate closely with the robotics R&D and production teams to facilitate seamless integration, version control, and on-site parameter tuning during deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage the end-to-end software installation process on AMR robotic platforms. - Maintain accurate records of software versions and configurations deployed to individual robot units. - Coordinate with the robotics engineering team to validate and implement new builds. - Fine-tune parameters such as navigation, motor control, and perception settings during deployment to meet production requirements. - Provide support to the production team during the bring-up, calibration, and field testing of robots. - Troubleshoot installation or configuration issues on live robots within a fast-paced environment. - Develop and update deployment guides, version logs, rollback procedures, and configuration documentation. - Ensure that software deployment adheres to internal compliance, versioning, and quality assurance standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field. - 2-4 years of experience in software deployment, configuration management, or DevOps roles, with a preference for experience in the robotics sector. - Hands-on experience with ROS2. - Familiarity with robot hardware interfaces and system bring-up processes. - Strong proficiency in Linux-based systems, networking, and command-line tools. - Experience with version control systems like Git and deployment tools. - Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working with engineering and production teams. Nice to Have: - Experience working with AMRs, AGVs, or robotic arms in industrial environments. - Understanding of sensor calibration, motor tuning, or SLAM/localization configuration. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and scripting. - Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.,
