As a Staff Software Engineer - Core Platform, you will lead the development of high-performance, scalable backend solutions for a video content platform. Your responsibilities will involve architecting, designing, and developing scalable, high-performance backend solutions. You will drive technical excellence, make architectural decisions, and scale the infrastructure to support a growing enterprise customer base. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring senior engineers, and optimizing system performance will be crucial. - Architect, design, and develop scalable, high-performance backend solutions - Lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and ensure best practices are followed - Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of the platform - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and DevOps - Mentor and guide senior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence - Optimize system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a top-tier institution - Minimum 10 years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems - Strong expertise in system design, microservices architecture, and API development - Deep understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and high availability - Extensive experience with enterprise cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and backend technologies like Java, Go, or Python - Experience with distributed databases, caching systems, and message queues - Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and operational best practices - Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions Preferred qualifications include: - Experience with real-time video streaming technologies and WebRTC - Knowledge of enterprise-grade security, compliance (SOC2, GDPR), and multi-tenancy - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) - Background in building fault-tolerant enterprise systems - Experience designing enterprise software for extensibility and scale,
