Software Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the transformation of applications from Mainframe to Cloud. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both Mainframe and Cloud technologies, and demonstrate hands-on capability to design and implement transformative solutions. What will your job look like? Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance. Develop and maintain clean, efficient code in Python, Shell scripting, and Java for cloud-based applications. Implement automation solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Manage AWS environments, including setup, monitoring, and optimization. Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards. Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS services and infrastructure. Stay current with new AWS services and features, and recommend improvements to existing architecture. Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs. All you need is... Requirements: Proficiency in both Mainframe and Modern Technologies. Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, REXX, CLIST, PL1, Assembler. Homegrown applications on Mainframes Architectural concepts, such as MATRIX, PBCF, CE, SY Utilities. Knowledge of third-party products on Mainframe: FOCUS, SAS, ACR Summary. Mainframe Schedulers: ESP, CA7. Modern Technologies: Cloud: AWS, Azure. Containers: Docker, Kubernetes. Programming Languages: Java, Postgres, Shell Scripting, Bash, Python. Schedulers: TWS, AWS Batch. Security: Configuring secured data exchange between on-prem and cloud environments (TLS 1.3). CI/CD Implementation. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
