Job Summary: We are looking for a Mainframe Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Java to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing legacy mainframe systems while also contributing to Java-based integration and modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities: Provide production support and maintenance for Mainframe applications (COBOL, JCL, DB2, etc.). Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to batch jobs, online transactions, and mainframe performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe systems with Java-based applications. Develop and maintain Java components for application interfaces or modernization projects. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance. Assist in code migrations, deployments, and environment setups. Write and maintain technical documentation and support artifacts.
