Social Media Manager Student Community & Brand Engagement | 5ive.ai

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute

  social media strategy

  with clear goals: student engagement, follower growth, and brand affinity
• Define the

  brand voice

  on social: relatable, warm, bold, human, and student-first
• Plan platform-specific content calendars in collaboration with content/video teams (you wont have to edit every Reel yourself)
  
• Track trends, campaigns, memes, and conversations happening in student spaces — and act fast when relevant
  
• Build and manage a

  DM/comment response system

  that feels like a real person, not a bot
• Design

  student engagement loops

  — polls, Q&As, AMAs, student shoutouts, contests, etc.
• Set up and grow

  student ambassador

  and

  campus rep

  programs to scale our presence
• Use analytics to report performance, iterate strategy, and double down on high-performing formats
  
• Monitor competitor channels and benchmark 5ive.ai’s positioning and tone of voice
  

What You Bring

• 4–7 years managing

  social media strategy

  for a Gen Z-facing brand (EdTech, youth brand, media startup, etc.)
• Proven ability to

  grow and engage communities

  , not just post content
• Sharp instincts on what makes something

  click with students

  — tone, formats, timing
• Strong understanding of Instagram algorithms, community management, and audience segmentation
  
• Ability to work with designers/video editors, while giving direction on visual storytelling
  
• Experience with social analytics platforms like

  Meta Insights, Later, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social

• Bonus: Experience setting up

  Discord communities

  or managing

  ambassador/influencer programs

• Bonus: Comfort speaking directly with students when needed (e.g., in IG Lives or AMAs)
