SOC Analyst

As a Senior SOC Analyst at AML RightSource, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing security events to ensure the highest quality of service and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and analyzing security events from various sources such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security technologies. - Conducting thorough investigations into security incidents, analyzing evidence, and reporting findings to management. - Providing technical guidance and support to junior SOC analysts. - Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for the SOC. - Participating in security assessments, penetration testing activities, and threat hunting to identify and respond to advanced persistent threats (APTs). - Collaborating with other teams to ensure the security of the organization's infrastructure and systems. - Maintaining awareness of new security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques. - Participating in incident response activities and coordinating with other teams to contain and remediate security incidents. - Providing regular reports to management on the SOC's performance and effectiveness. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in a SOC or security operations role. - Strong knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools. - Familiarity with security standards and frameworks like NIST, ISO, and SOC 2. - Experience in security incident response, including investigation, containment, and remediation. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GSEC are highly desirable.
