Snr. Manager, Development

As a Java Development Lead for Functions DFT, you will be responsible for coding, leading, and designing solutions within the DFT Functions Domain. Your role will involve developing applications, providing reusable patterns/components for development, and ensuring end-to-end ownership throughout the lifecycle. Additionally, you will lead and guide a community group contributing to reusable components/libraries. Your key responsibilities will include demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and ownership in technical evaluations, decisions, and software design/development activities. You will contribute to building prototypes, translating them into production-grade applications or reusable components, and staying updated on industry developments to incorporate best practices. Leading end-to-end delivery with adherence to timelines and agile practices, participating in code reviews, and mentoring team members on technical aspects are also crucial aspects of your role. Your expertise should include proficiency in Java programming language, web application development using frameworks like Spring Boot, Quarkus, and Node.js, as well as designing applications using microservices, cloud-native architecture, and REST API. You should have experience with API design, various design patterns, databases (RDBMS & NoSQL), coding, debugging, testing, documentation, version control (GitHub/Bitbucket), container ecosystems (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS), messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), high-level architecture, CI/CD (ADO), and Scrum methodology. In addition, you will be expected to display exemplary conduct, adhere to regulatory and business standards, and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders such as Enterprise Architects, Technology Delivery teams, and Business Product owners. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, with at least 8 years of relevant work experience. Certifications in Java, Architecture, Cyber Security, or Cloud will be advantageous.
