Snowflake Platform Administrator

As a Snowflake Platform Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain Snowflake environments across development, test, and production stages. You will explore the new features in Snowflake and conduct Proof of Value (POV) or Proof of Concept (POC) activities. Additionally, you will support Snowflake Cortex and ensure system health, performance, and storage utilization are optimized. Key Responsibilities: - Perform user and role administration, warehouse management, and access provisioning. - Coordinate version upgrades, patching, and system maintenance with minimal downtime. - Implement data governance policies including access control, role hierarchy, and data masking. - Manage authentication mechanisms such as SSO, MFA, and key-based access in alignment with security standards. - Monitor and tune query performance, warehouse sizing, and resource utilization. - Identify and optimize long-running or high-cost queries. - Implement automatic clustering and caching strategies for improved performance and cost efficiency. - Manage incidents, service requests, and changes following ITSM processes. - Conduct root-cause analysis for critical issues and implement preventive measures. - Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and support documentation. - Generate and update operational dashboards and usage reports. - Track warehouse utilization, credit consumption, and optimize cost efficiency. - Provide platform health and performance reports to stakeholders periodically. - Coordinate deployment activities, sandbox testing, and validation before release. - Ensure adherence to change control protocols and maintain rollback procedures. - Support the migration of new features or enhancements into production.
