Snowflake Platform Administrator

Role Overview: You will be joining a dynamic data engineering and cloud platform team as a Snowflake Platform Administrator. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of Snowflake environments across different landscapes. Your role will involve hands-on expertise in Snowflake administration, Snowflake Cortex, data governance, security implementation, and environment automation. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments across Dev/Test/Prod landscapes. - Evaluate new Snowflake features and perform PoC/PoV to assess implementation feasibility. - Support and administer Snowflake Cortex capabilities. - Monitor platform performance, warehouse usage, storage consumption, and compute efficiency. - Troubleshoot long-running or high-cost queries and apply optimization strategies. - Configure clustering, caching, and scaling mechanisms for enhanced performance and cost optimization. - Administer user access, RBAC roles, and warehouse permissions. - Implement security controls including SSO, MFA, data masking, encryption, and key-based authentication. - Ensure adherence to enterprise governance guidelines and compliance frameworks. - Execute scheduled patching, release upgrades, and performance tuning with minimal downtime. - Support sandbox testing, deployment validation, and ensure rollback and recovery plans are in place. - Manage incidents, service requests, and platform changes following ITSM best practices. - Prepare operational dashboards, usage reports, capacity forecasts, and cost optimization reports. - Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in Snowflake Administration & Snowflake Cortex - Expertise in Query Optimization, Warehouse Tuning, Access Controls, and Security Frameworks - Solid understanding of Cloud Authentication, IAM, and Enterprise Data Governance Models - Experience working with ETL/ELT data pipelines, cost governance, and platform automation - Familiarity with SSO, MFA, API-driven automation, and Snowflake utilities Tech Stack: Snowflake, Snowflake Cortex, RBAC, SSO/MFA, Query Optimization, ETL/ELT, ITSM, Data Governance, Cloud Security Please note that the preferred qualifications and additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description.,
