Roles and Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis

• Understand business needs for data storage, transformation, analytics, and reporting.
  
• Convert business requirements into scalable Snowflake-based architectural solutions.
  

Architectural Design

• Design end-to-end

  Snowflake data architecture

  focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Define schemas, data models, data flows, and integration points with other enterprise systems.
  
• Establish Snowflake architectural best practices, governance, and standards.
  

Migration Strategy

• Create and execute migration strategies for moving legacy data platforms to Snowflake.
  
• Ensure

  minimal downtime

  , data integrity, and smooth data transition.

Optimization Framework

• Optimize Snowflake workloads, storage, and query performance.
  
• Collaborate with data engineers and DBAs to improve overall data processing quality.
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with business analysts, PMs, data engineers, and architects.
  
• Ensure technical design aligns with business objectives and enterprise architecture.
  

Governance

• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, data security, and audit requirements.
  
• Establish escalation mechanisms and quality checkpoints across phases.
  

Review & Certification

• Validate and certify architecture documents, pipelines, and all technical deliverables.
  
• Conduct detailed reviews of data models, SQL scripts, Snowflake objects, and migration components.
  

Day-to-Day Activities

• Conduct requirement workshops and architecture meetings.
  
• Design and document

  data models, architecture diagrams

  , and Snowflake migration blueprints.
• Guide implementation teams to align with architecture and Snowflake best practices.
  
• Review SQL, SnowSQL, stored procedures, UDFs, and Snowflake components.
  
• Evaluate and implement features like

  Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Clustering, Materialized Views

  , etc.
• Work with or explore

  Snowpark & Snowflake Cortex

  functionalities.
• Collaborate on CI/CD, DevOps, data quality, and performance tuning.
  
• Stay updated with new Snowflake releases and incorporate them as needed.
  

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in

  SQL, SnowSQL

  , stored procedures, and UDFs.
• Hands-on experience or exposure to:

• Strong understanding of Snowflake architectural concepts:
