Snowflake Administrator

As a Snowflake Administrator, your role will involve managing Snowflake instances efficiently, configuring and monitoring Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles. You will also be responsible for administering user access controls and roles to ensure appropriate access levels. Key Responsibilities: - Manage Snowflake account and ensure efficient configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Snowflake instances. - Create and manage Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles. - Administer user access controls and roles to ensure appropriate access levels. In terms of security and data governance, you will implement and manage data security policies, including encryption, access controls, and auditing. You will ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations while collaborating with teams to establish best practices for data governance. Performance optimization will be a crucial aspect of your role, involving monitoring system performance, identifying areas for optimization, implementing best practices for resource usage, tuning queries, and optimizing data models to improve performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting up and managing Snowflake backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery plans are in place for business continuity. Collaboration and support with data engineering, data science, and business intelligence teams will also be essential to design, implement, and support Snowflake-based solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. - Experience with Snowflake SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries. - Familiarity with Snowflake's data sharing, data replication, and cloning features. - Experience with Snowflake security management, including role-based access control (RBAC). - Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based data integration tools. - Strong understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts and best practices. - Familiarity with tools like dbt, Talend, Apache Airflow, or similar for data orchestration. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.,
