Job Title: Site Engineer E&I filtration (on site)

Department: LCS (SSR operations)

Location: Anywhere in India

Job Statement: This position is required to work at Inda FFP filter press Operation & Maintenance contract sites ( iron ore processing customer sites) , will be leading the shift production and maintenance (Both mechanical & Electrical) activities as per scope assigned in contract.

Job Responsibilities:

• Shift or Daily operation and maintenance of filter presses and slurry pumps (FFP)
• Lead the shift manpower for operation and maintenance of filter presses and slurry pumps.
• To maintain shift or daily production, maintenance logbooks (hard copy & soft copy)
• To lead shift team in preventive maintenance and planned shutdown of filter presses and slurry pumps.
• To review maintenance check list filled by technicians in shifts & highlight on the findings to site in charges.
• To co-ordinate with customer side shift in charge in certification of shift production, shift maintenance activities of filter presses (FFP) on daily or shift bases.
• To control shift manpower, tools movement, safety conversations, toolbox talks, work permit applications and discipline of his team.
• To ensure safe working culture and to adhere of Metso safety rules for him and his team members.
• To guide & train team in electrical & instrumentation issues raised in filter presses
• Understand the logics and sequences by drawings & PLC programs, guide the team accordingly
• Coordinate for online access for troubleshooting of filters via remote (basic automation knowledge is required)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in electrical or instrumentation engineering.
• Relevant work experience- 3-8 years in iron ore filter press operation and maintenance (FFP is an added advantage)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Team managing and leadership skill towards problem solving.
• Good communication to manage his team and to appraise his supervisor relevant to work.
• In-depth operation and maintenance knowledge of filter presses.
• Route cause analysing skill on failure of filters presses
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Basic hydraulic knowledge relevant to filter presses.
• Basic MS office tools using knowledge (Excel sheets)
• Basic iron ore process knowledge relevant to filter presses.
• Basic automation knowledge to have remote access for troubleshooting of filters.
