Job Description – Site Coordinator (Fire Safety)

Position: Site Coordinator

Department: Projects / Execution

Location:- Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Reporting To: Project Manager/Project Head

Role Overview:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring proper execution of fire safety system installations (Fire Hydrant, Sprinkler System, Fire Alarm, Extinguishers, etc.) at project sites. The role involves managing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, liaising with contractors/vendors, and supporting project completion within defined timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and monitor day-to-day site activities related to fire safety projects.

· Execute installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems (hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, gas suppression, etc.).

· Ensure that work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety norms.

· Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution.

· Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and update management.

· Handle site documentation including measurement sheets, checklists, and quality reports.

· Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and commissioning.

· Ensure compliance with local fire safety codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NBC, NFPA, TAC, IS standards).

· Monitor manpower allocation, material usage, and minimize wastage.

· Ensure adherence to safety practices and conduct toolbox talks for workers.

Required Skills & Competencies:

· Strong knowledge of fire protection and fire alarm systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

· Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (IS, NBC, NFPA).

· Good leadership, site management, and coordination skills.

· Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and AutoCAD (preferred).

· Strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire & Safety Engineering.

· 2–5 years of experience in site execution of fire safety systems (freshers with fire safety knowledge can also be considered for junior roles).

· Experience in handling fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, and suppression systems preferred.
