Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Conduct cost reduction analysis on major cost drivers, specific systems and components utilizing 2D\3D costing tools Interacting with the design teams to study the inputs provided Understanding of Customer and supplier manufacturing process plans (MPP), study and training on processes and guidelines Establishing cost templates and maintain cost libraries Updating the materials, machine and labor libraries quarterly Provide training and support as required Arriving at the cost estimates by supplier contacts and data collection Sourcing supplier negotiations support Global -Region based cost support for sourcing teams Reviewing and understanding vendor manufacturing process Interaction with CADD & Engineering teams for should cost support Analyze cost of the product based on FPQ, Volume study Costing support for concepts, specification-based products and built to print Calculate manufacturing operations cycle times Sourcing support for design reviews and the Tollgate process Final submittal and acceptance.
