The Role: Shopify & WordPress Developer

You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of client websites, from initial setup and theme customization to feature implementation and performance optimization. Your role is critical in ensuring our clients have robust, highly functional, and user-friendly digital storefronts.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development:

  Build and customize responsive websites using WordPress (including theme and plugin development/modification) and Shopify (including theme setup, Liquid language modification, and app integration).

• E-commerce Implementation:

  Implement and configure essential e-commerce features such as payment gateways, shipping methods, product management, and promotional tools.

• Coding & Optimization:

  Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Liquid (for Shopify). Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

  Perform routine maintenance, debugging, and testing to ensure websites are secure, up-to-date, and free of errors.

• Client Collaboration:

  Work closely with project managers and designers to translate Australian client requirements into technical specifications and functional website features.

• Shopify Expertise:

  Knowledge of the Shopify platform, theme architecture (Sections and Blocks), and the

  Liquid template language

  is mandatory.

• WordPress Expertise:

  Experience with custom theme development, plugin integration (e.g., WooCommerce, page builders), and security best practices.

• International Exposure (Added Advantage):

  Prior experience working with international clients (e.g., Australian, US, UK)

  is a significant asset.

• Communication:

  Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for clear collaboration.
