As a Shopify Developer at SleepyCat, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our Shopify stores to ensure a seamless and user-friendly eCommerce experience for our customers. Here's what you can expect in this role: Role Overview: - Develop and maintain Shopify stores by building, customizing, and optimizing them based on business requirements. - Implement new features and functionalities using Shopify's APIs and platform capabilities. - Customize and optimize existing Shopify themes, as well as develop new themes from scratch to ensure responsiveness and user-friendliness. - Utilize Liquid, Shopify's templating language, for creating and modifying Shopify themes and pages. - Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enhance store functionality, and develop custom Shopify apps to meet specific business needs. - Ensure high performance and availability of Shopify stores by optimizing website loading speed and user experience. - Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Shopify stores promptly. - Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with 1-2 years of experience. - Proficiency in Shopify platform and ecosystem, including strong knowledge of Liquid templating language. - Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs, and version control systems like Git. - Understanding of eCommerce best practices, SEO principles, and excellent problem-solving skills. - Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications: - Experience with Shopify Plus and knowledge of other eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce. - Experience with agile methodologies, project management tools, and familiarity with JS frameworks (e.g., React, Node) and languages like PHP would be a plus.
