Shift Incharge

Objectives of the Role

To manage the shift operation of the Air Separation Unit, which include the safe operation of the Plant, in best efficiency mode to meet the customer demand, minimize the downtime (off-spec or machine down time) and support the Plant Manager in the execution of any shift activities assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting un-interrupted and varying demand of the Onsite-customer or merchant market, by suitably modulating the plant. Ensure the plant operates at the best power efficiency point for given demand
• Ensure all Safe and Standard Operating Procedures are followed in the plant operations Ensure downtime is kept to minimum, in terms of Product Purities and Shutdowns Ensure safe and quick restart of the plant on any shutdown
• Monitor the equipment condition and alert the maintenance team for any abnormalities observed, before any breakdown occurs
• Frequent field visit for inspections and recording the field instrument readings. Report any abnormal readings to the Plant Manager.
• Issue of work permits for any maintenance activities
• Assist the Plant Manager in upgrading the plant procedures/SOPs
• Monitoring the liquid tank levels and truck filling operations & Dispatch support Maintain the Control Room Log book meticulously Skilled at using DCS
