1. Ensures successful production in terms of quality and quantity as per specifications of the Production budget with optimum use of resources.
2. Supervises the operations of the plant and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures and Work instruction. Take instructions from Shift Superintendent and communicate down the line for implementation.
3. Supervises critical operational activities: start-up and shutdown, and provide technical support to the Supervisors and Operators during these activities.
4. Takes corrective actions to control upset/disruption in accordance with the upset scenarios.
5. Performs the routine inspection of process parameters, equipments in Plant, identifies, records and in case of any abnormality initiates corrective action to ensure safe and continuous operation of the plant. Updates Plant Manager about the abnormality.
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of continuous plant, High pressure & temperature and highly exothermic reaction.
Guidance to DCS Engineer and Shift operators.
Should be having knowledge of rotating machinery like pumps/Compressores and other machinery. Working in rota shift.
Chemical Engineer and 5 to 8 yrs. experience. Should be from continuous Petrochemical plant experience in equivalent position, preferably in Methanol, Methylamines plants.
