3 to 6 Years in CNC/Automation/Robotics Maintenance in a high-tech manufacturing environment

Age Limit:

Candidate must not be more than 37 years old

Must have worked in an automation plant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Shift Engineer - Wafering Maintenance

to join our cutting-edge, fully automated solar PV wafer manufacturing plant in

Jamnagar

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in CNC machine maintenance, EDM systems, and robotic automation, along with prior experience in an

automation-driven plant

. Candidates exceeding the age of

37 years

will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities Robotics & Gantry Systems Maintenance

Troubleshooting and maintaining 56 axis robots (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, KUKA, or similar).
Practical experience with gantry systems like Gudel, Pari used in automated wafer handling.

CNC & EDM Machine Maintenance

Maintenance and repair of CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi controllers) including SPM, VMC, HMC, and grinding machines.
Preventive and breakdown maintenance of high-precision CNC and EDM machinery used in wafer processing.
Experience in process automation and optimizing CNC & robotic systems.

Automation & PLC

Hands-on PLC programming and modification (Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).
Troubleshooting servo drives, motion control systems, SCADA/HMI, and IIoT integration.
Implementing advanced industrial automation with condition monitoring.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Design and execute Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs).
Apply predictive tools (thermal imaging, vibration analysis, AI-based monitoring) to improve reliability.

Team Leadership & Process Optimization

Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Engineering to drive OEE improvements.
Identify and implement automation enhancements and continuous improvement projects.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification:
BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience:
3 to 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience in CNC, EDM, Robotics, and automation systems.
Industry:
Must have worked in a fully automated plant (preferably solar, semiconductor, or automotive).
Age:
Must be 37 years or younger.
Strong experience in Fanuc, Siemens, and Mitsubishi CNC systems.
Solid troubleshooting skills with servo motors, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.
Proven leadership in managing teams and preventive maintenance planning.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to high-volume, high-precision manufacturing (e.g., solar PV wafers, semiconductors, automotive).
Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and predictive maintenance technologies.
Knowledge of energy efficiency and optimization within automated setups.
