Shift Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance operations during the shift and ensuring smooth functioning of machineries and equipments.
• Supervise and manage the maintenance team on the shift with QRQC reviews, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and responding promptly to breakdowns or malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of maintenance activities and issues encountered during the shift.
• Coordinate with other departments and shift teams for seamless operations.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce downtime.
• Participate in training and mentoring maintenance technicians.
• Ensure work quality and enforcing operational standards.
• Handle emergency situations and escalate unresolved problems to management.
• Support projects like installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machineries & equipments during shift operations.
• Implementation of TPM, 5S & Kaizen to improve the machine quality.
• RCA for equipment failure through WHY-WHY analysis, Fishbone analysis, Responsible for analyzing the machine failure & based on this modifying the maintenance checklist & inspection Schedule
• Coach and motivate team for participative innovations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Diploma in engineering with 5+ years of experience in maintenance operations
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine, Special Process machine and other equipment
• Leadership and Interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management
• Planning & Organizing abilities
• Attention to details
• Excellent verbal Communication Skill
• Comfortable work in a team
• Ability to work quickly under pressure
