Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Operations

Monitor daily production activities and ensure achievement of production targets.
Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to maintain smooth workflow.
Ensure machines and equipment are operated according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns; diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues.
Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Work with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

3. Quality & Safety

Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Support quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) teams during audits and inspections.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Lead or participate in root cause analysis for safety or quality incidents.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain shift logs, production reports, and equipment maintenance records.
Communicate shift performance, issues, and handovers effectively to the next shift.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like downtime, yield, efficiency, and scrap rate.
