Job Description

ServiceNow ITAM developer JD:

IT Asset Management (ITAM)

Key Responsibilities

Module Implementation & Configuration

Implement and customize
SAM Pro
,
HAM Pro
, and SaaS Management modules.
Configure workflows, lifecycle processes, and policies for IT assets.
Develop automation using
Flow Designer
,
IntegrationHub
,
Business Rules
,
Client Scripts
, and
Scoped Apps
.

Integration & Data Management

Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with
CMDB
,
Discovery
,
Procurement
, and third-party tools (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, Flexera).
Build integrations using
REST/SOAP APIs
,
MID Server
, and
IntegrationHub Spokes
for data ingestion.
Ensure data quality, normalization, reconciliation, and license compliance.

Optimization & Reporting

Enable SaaS subscription tracking and optimization (usage insights, renewal planning).
Create dashboards and reports for spend, usage, compliance, and optimization.

Collaboration & Governance

Work with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable ITAM solutions.
Participate in
Agile ceremonies
, code reviews, and enforce platform governance.
Stay updated with ServiceNow releases and ITAM best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Total 8 + Years 46+ relevant years in IT Asset Management with at least 2 full-cycle implementations of ServiceNow SAM/HAM.
Strong knowledge of
ITIL
and ITAM lifecycle processes.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (
JavaScript
) and platform configuration.
Familiarity with software license models and compliance frameworks.
Experience with
ServiceNow Discovery
,
CMDB
, and external asset sources.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – SAM/HAM.
Experience with cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of SaaS subscription optimization.
